2014-2019
Vashon Island High School
Vashon, WA
At Vashon Island High School, I developed a deep appreciation for the social sciences, environmental science, and storytelling. My passion for storytelling led me to join the school newspaper, where I spent three years honing my writing skills and eventually served as editor-in-chief during my senior year.
I also had the privilege of serving as co-president of SeaVuria Girls to Girls, a student-led organization that fundraises for high school scholarships for young women in Taita-Taveta, Kenya. This experience instilled in me a commitment to social justice and community-driven initiatives.
My time at Vashon Island High School played a pivotal role in shaping my academic and personal interests, and provided a solid foundation for my continued growth and development.
